What are chances of firing from TCS ?
Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

I actually dislike the profession because of this. Retail has turned the wonder and love of healthcare into “increase sales,” “increase revenue.” You utilize very little of the skills you obtained in pharmacy school. Even hospitals are jumping on the retail wave. Pushing numbers and decreasing wait time. Be fast! They are painfully showing favoritism to those who have done residencies versus those who haven’t. Many pharmacists are escaping the profession altogether sadly.
Yes, this. I've been an rxm for 13 years and I am looking to jump ship ASAP into anything that actually respects me as a person. I hate pharmacy! Vaccinations, metrics, no help, corp ppl who have never stepped foot behind the bench yet say I suck- it's all killed my soul.
I also work at a three letter. Same for pharmacy techs. Something, anything has to be better. Interviewing Monday. I’ll get written up for taking the time but, I don’t care. I’ve never not succeeded at least enough to fly under the radar. I’m treated like an idiot, which I’m not.
The two pharmacists I know that went from three letter to wm both had better things to say about the switch. One went to retail and they had a lot more tech hours (we were getting 20/week, they easily had around 90 minimum). The other went to wm central fill and said it was much better (it’s a closed pharmacy, so no customers) but the hours were odd, lot of late shifts overnights. That may vary for you.
Walmart is better than CVS and Walgreens. But from experience, how good the job is depends on your district manager. In my area, it’s a terrible job because the district manager is not good but in others it’s great. The benefits are great and it is slower than the bigger chains. I’d ask the store how many scripts they fill a day. In my area the neighborhood Walmarts are actually busier than the super centers because they have a drive through and the latter does not. Could be a perfect fit tho!
Thank you for this. I’ll definitely ask this in my interview. That’s definitely something to consider.
Definitely anything is better. I moved to independents and that is much better but my friends from school seem much happier at Walgreens and Kaiser.
I’m honestly to step outside of chain pharmacy. I can’t handle it anymore.
I think anything is better than 3 letter! Corner of happy and healthy is close to as bad, but not quite. I hear WM at least pays well
I’m considering pay but that’s not my main concern. It’s more related to the workload and what is expected and what needs to be done.
Neighborhood markets will probably be better for you.
Walmart will have higher demands, so perhaps learn in the opposite direction to get a job environment more suitable to your working style
I can also look into any of the local pharmacies around where I live but I don’t know if they’re hiring.
