I did interviews for strategy and ops for Google Cloud! Interviews went pretty well, and even had a casual chat with the team director. The recruiter has come back saying I am a key finalist, but the director wants to evaluate more folks from industry. What’s happening?

I have recently applied in Barclays for analyst position at Chennai location. The status of my application has changed from application submitted to Hiring manager review on 5th of July. From then i didn't receive any mail from the company, and the status of my application is also unchanged. Can anyone tell me when can I expect the next stage of process, and i have 32 months of experience in industry domain. How much should i negotiate the salary during the Hr call. please help

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

So for those of you who are in learning and development: what are trainers making now days? Interested to know salary & years experience! TIA

Been on the job hunt for the past 3 months. Applied to 200+. Interviewed with 15 companies (big tech + mid sized) but failing at either hiring manager round or ghosted after onsite.
