I did not receive anything in written from HR on joining bonus from TCS but they conveyed orally about it and when does the joining bonus gets credited

What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Is that an ethical factor if both employees do the same job at the same pace, quality, etc?

Hello I'm looking for a job preferably in Apparels industry. Used to work as a partner in a brand where I used to handle almost everything which included sampling,branding,sales and marketing,sales, customer satisfaction, transportation, payment follow ups,tally, etc.

So a company I interviewed with took me to the final round but rejected me for an architect role. Then, two months later the hiring manager hits me up for a manager role he thought I would be a good fit before the job was posted. We had a call and he said he thought I would be a long shot replying back to him. Also, he said everyone liked me and no need to interview. He said he has to post it and let HR do their thing before he can make a final decision. Why post a job if you want me for it?

I have seen that many unicorn startups are very particular about the college you are graduated from even while hiring laterals. This feels a little sad. As someone from the tier 2-3 college who struggles a lot at the start of a career - why do we need to prove ourselves continuously? Some companies do not even consider the resumes if the candidate is not from a tier 1 college. Thoughts?

I was planning to decline a job offer at McKinsey and before I could email he called and asked for final decision and I said I cannot join due to a personal reason, which is the case in reality and just mention I was about to drop an email and apologised for the inconvenience.

He called me unprofessional and said you could have informed. I know I am at fault as well as the offer was released on Monday.

Sort of feeling guilt now, anyways to overcome this?
