Dear all,
My friend is trying to get into her 1st full-time job. Previously she worked as a UI UX designer for multiple clients (freelance). But she couldn't manage to get an interview call. She is an excellent UI UX designer and an illustrator. If anyone has any options, kindly comment below, I will share her resume. She is a btech graduate with 2 year experience in ui ux designing/illustration field.

You shouldn't feel guilty at all. 3 12s in a row is a lot, I would have no interest in coming in for another either. Staffing shortages are management's problem to solve, not yours. Let them figure it out and keep enjoying your limited time off!!
I second this

You shouldn't be made to feel guilty. That is the sign of a bad manager.
I am amazed how these kids call out all the time and still have a job. Smh.
Same...what is going on with people!
Don't feel guilty! Mental health is a real thing. If you don't take care of yourself. Who can take care of these individuals? I was that person. Granted yes I am 33 years old. I worked 180+ hours every 2 weeks because I couldn't say no. I did it for almost 4 years straight. My mental health got to me. And now. Working the same line of work. I work my 40 hours and I say no. I have a life. It's sad. There is such a shortage in our line of work. I feel like it's mostly because people get burnt out and quit.
I agree. Don't feel guilty, enjoy your days off. I'm 51 & work a lot of hours to cover my schedulers butt. However, I'm done covering for her & her inability to schedule employees properly. That's management's issue to deal with. Sadly, they will continue to call you as long as you keep going in when they ask you to. Let them figure it out. It's one thing to help out on occasion but I think they are taking advantage of you. Just my opinion. 🤠
I'd consider not answering the phone.
I agree with the others, I would not feel guilty! It's not mandatory and it sounds like it's also unfair. They should get a handle on their team to address the root cause.
