I wish I had someone to hug me
Wanted to share smth I found recently. I felt like it was pretty darn accurate. I’ll provide the link here but there’s a screenshot I took that I feel I can relate to quite heavily. https://pairedlife.com/love/infatuations
I’ve struggled with so many heavy infatuations before and a friend recommended this. Hope it helps anyone else out there who’s gone through this or may be going through this right now.

Sounds like you need some boundaries. 16-20 hour days? You need to say no
16-20 hours a day is probably the issue — are you currently in busy season? Will those hours reduce to a normal workday after that is done? If so, just know it’s temporary. If 16-20 hours/day is the norm in the group year round, start looking for other opportunities.
Oh, Deloitte...
(I used to work there and yes, I get it.)
Thank you
Hi, I’m sorry you’re in a tough place right now. You say you’re unable to look for a new role for another 4 months (meaning 6 months at Deloitte). What’s stopping you from looking and applying now? I think it may help your mindset and send more positivity into your life.
Thanks
I promise you’ll get through this
I have had 5 year stint, , 6 months, 1 year and now another 6 months
No one and I mean no one (hiring manager, interviews, recruiter) has questioned the timeline
Sure @OP, go ahead and dm and I’ll check it out
Firstly you don’t need to work 15-20 hours. You just need to stand up for yourself and put your foot down. You will not get dinged at YE because you didn’t put in 20 hours a day. Talk to your coach and explain the situation. Then take a Monday or a Friday off to get away for this vicious cycle and rest up. Next week just be open about how much you can do and what you won’t be able to do over email. If they have a problem they will roll you off themselves which will be problem solved.
Yes, talk to your coach and escalate to a senior manager or PPMD if it doesn't get fixed. Just put some time on their calendar and tell them what is going on. It sounds like you are working for someone who is inexperienced or inept.
Why can’t you look outside for another job for another four months OP?
I understand, and I’m sorry. You have to literally close the laptop though. Why do you need to wait for another 4 months
