Come back with a competitive offer would be my humble advice
A tale as old as time. Do yourself a favor and start looking elsewhere. Jumping ship is the only way I’ve achieved significant pay increase.
Agreed, i was in the same position and then i doubled my salary when i left that place
First, well done on doing that.
I am inclined to resurface the conversation…”we talked a while back about a raise, and based on the case I made you said that you would look into it, but I haven’t heard anything. Has it stalled for some reason? Can I ask you to please look into it, because it’s very important to me.”
Best of luck.
I wouldn’t hold my breath
I’d start applying with all those cases you built. 6 months without an update says it all.

They have zero intention to do anything unless you come to them with a competitor offer. That said, I’d get an offer and leave. Clearly they don’t value what you bring to the table.

Why have you waited? Follow-up and if there’s no movement, ask what you need to do to earn that raise - discuss your career development with your manager and HR and force them to come to you with either a raise, a plan, or an admittance that they can’t find their ass with both hands, a flashlight and GPS and all their noise about valuing employees is hot air. If it’s the latter, you can comfortably go find something else knowing you did everything you could to maximize your potential at that company.
Forcing their hand may also make them realize they need to be more direct with employees and it’ll benefit those who follow you.
I went through this experience earlier on in my career. I went to my ECD with several proof points justifying my need to be promoted. Six months went by and my case got handed off to people in different offices and I never heard an update.
I gave up and got a job offer and gave my notice. Then suddenly they had the budget and the ability to promote me.

That’s standard corporate practice. I hope you left.
