Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

Have you tried following up with the hiring manager to ask what’s going on? I wouldn’t reapply without getting an answer on what happened the first time. You completed the interview process and shouldn’t have to reapply unless you’re interested in an entirely different role.
Any other contacts at Fannie Mae? I would reapply
As someone who used to work in Cash Trading it’s a business most institutions are phasing out of the cashing trading in favor of electronic for a while now. If you looking up other institutions (ie: GS and UBS) and exchanges (ie: NYSE) all have shrunk their headcount. They many not want to pay more for something they’re phasing out which is why the recruiter ghosted you. However, I’d attempt to follow up with the recruiter (because ppl do get lost in their work) and if that doesn’t work perhaps find someone internally like someone you interviewed with and got along with well. Just a thought.
