McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).

Tbh I would just do your own homework on prepping. There’s so many materials on Goldman interviews on the Internet, I think doing your own research would show initiative
Why is everyone so reluctant to ask? Doesn’t hurt to get a little more direction. I would do some research and include that in your question though so it shows you’re being proactively instead of just looking to be fed answers. “I’m doing xyz & wondering if that’s appropriate prep for the interview”
Yes. They’ll expect you to know how to prepare for an interview
If you are concerned about rnd 2, good luck getting to round 3. ask thoughtful questions that YOU want to know based on rnd 1. research your interviewer. research process. don't ask the same canned questions everyone else it. Be insightful. research thoughtful questions. and most of all...LISTEN. Let the interviewer talk. And hold yourself in high standing so they want you. CONFIDENCE IS EVERYTHING.

From experience: GS recruiting is not a “no such thing as a dumb question” process. You will be evaluated on every communication you have with them.
Ask your network, not the recruiter.
There are usually more than 3-5 rounds . FYI
I think I’d frame it within the context of video interviewing/interviewing during COVID. Rather than generically asking how to prepare, ask if there’s anything different about the interview process, etc.
congrats. there are like 5-7 rnds so dont celebrate yet. I wouldn't ask them...ask your friends.
