Hi fishes,
Why TCS is so rude and self proclaimed kinda. I declined TCS offer last year as they were giving very less CTC. Now I got interviewed again with TCS and cleared all the rounds but they are not reactivating my ibegin portal for document upload since I rejected them last year...in this way u think they will never ever reactivate my profile.

Every person will have a different answer to this. Hard to tell, unless we knew you and your circumstances personally.
For me, I’d only want to take on the level of responsibility required of a GC if the pay was worth it. Perhaps in the 9-figure range for TC. That way, I could have a path to retirement within a couple of years if I really hated it/burned out/want to find another job.
I’m remote right now, and I love it. Definitely would need a big pay package to leave my position now.
I worked for a company that got acquired by a public company you probably never heard of. The GC of the acquiring company told me they didn't have the budget to keep me on. I looked at the SEC filings; he was about $1M in compensation. We could have split the workload and the salary...
This will depend a lot on specifics. I just moved last year. The main drawback for me was giving up around a 3.5% mortgage and having to take out a new one around 7%. That eats up a big chunk of any raise you get, while chewing away at your overall home equity with repair and realtor fees.
Take the offer. “…no path and not sustainable..” will not end well
