Im in the situation you mentioned, I feel that its worth the extra hassel. Generally I find this start up to be decent but they dont know the field at all, so its a lot of handholding and no one to back me up. Worth to mention I was caught in a layoff so this job was very fortunate and I did not have much choice
Tough to say without knowing the other factors (bonus %, vacation tome, commute, strength of company, etc). All things being equal I would NO, it’s not worth it. Just my 2 cents.
Also you said you’re still learning at your current company. I would say definitely stay where you are.
A big part of senior product management is good decisions and influencing others without authority. Your decision if you’re ready for that.
It could be lonely though. But if you will have a solid boss then that’d be worth the trade off.
