My fiancé got approached for a Sales Executive Role at Instacart. Anyone have any insight into the company, job security, culture etc? They mentioned 100k base, 40-60% variable comp and an undisclosed equity grant. She’s already making 130k in a very secure job, so we are thinking no, but want to do our homework first.
Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

You might as well go to the interview. Perhaps when you get talking to the interviewer you'll realize the job really is a good idea. Or, if you're not impressed by the job, you might learn something from the experience that will help you in the next interview.

Well said. Okay I think you convinced me to at least try.
I would identify why you feel uneasy. Because if it's role scope or comp, those may be things you get more information on that may quell anxieties

I think its more comp related. My company is notorious for underpaying.
Why are you second guessing? I'd take the interview, even if I did have misgivings. No guarantee you'll get an offer, nothing forcing you to accept it if you do, nothing to lose.

Good point. I guess I was just feeling sure I'd get the offer but there's no guarantees lol

You could always use it to negotiate better offer at current company
Interview anyway as you dont even know if you will get the job.
