I got told I “might be bored” in the role and I’m still annoyed about it. The work actually aligns really well with my skillset and I was genuinely excited, but because I didn’t oversell myself or act overly eager, they assumed I’d be unengaged. I don’t do over-the-top enthusiasm in interviews, especially when I’m trying to come across as grounded and competent. But now I’m wondering if being too chill is costing me offers. How do you show interest in a role without faking hype or sounding desperate?

Applied for a role with Salesforce and had both a talent advisor and corporate recruiter reach out to schedule time to talk about the role. Is this normal for the recruiting process for two different people to reach out to schedule time? Is one more senior than the other/different approach?

Any HR pros able to explain the process for hiring US citizens to Canadian offices, and if that process is so onerous you would rather offer a much higher US salary to avoid it?

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.
