I bombed a question in my interview! Feeling horrid
I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?

SNKRS didn’t fail me today.

Hi Sharks, I am asked to sign the offer letter. It's kind of an agreement between me and the company for accepting the offer and compensation numbers. Of course It doesn't have statments like I have to join the company on signing this. My question is that 1. If I get a better offer can I go and ask them to revise the offer? 2. Can I decide not to join the company? Will there be any legal consequences? Have you ever been asked to sign the offer? Boeing Tata Consultancy Wipro Capgemini Cognizant

Or the CD is burned out from being on zoom calls all day, plus other life factors you may not be privy to (taking care of a sick parent? Up all night with a kid? Etc.)
Honestly chances are it had nothing to do with you.

Or maybe the vacancy is already reserved for one of his friends, and the interview was just a formality for HR?
This happened to me with a Head of Creative who was barely paying attention and looked like he was reading and responding to emails while I was talking. It was quite rude but I knew I wasn’t getting that job..
I got a rejection email 2 days later... but I already felt it in my bones it was not happening.. you usually feel it.
Ive found that when an interview is going well (for me), the other person sort of ends up selling the company to you, and it almost flips in who is convincing who to work there.
That is SO rude! Incredibly. I’ve interviewed people as of late and I make sure I’m 100% dedicated to the time slot.
It's Friday so enthusiasm is on E for the week.
Still, if they weren't trying to excite you about the job and were done in half the time, that's a no.

or, and this is a possibility, they weren’t feeling engaged with you.
“he’s just not that into you” is a real answer.
There’s a million factors at play, you’ll never know the truth, but don’t be hard on yourself - we’ve all been there ❤️
Follow up with a note referencing some project of theirs or yours that is relevant to whatever you talked about that the CD seemed interest in, or your thoughts on a topic/client important to them. Their response to this (or lack thereof) will clarify things.
The CD should have been professional and engaging and inspiring, etc etc, all the things they're paid to be—but they're also human. I personally had 37 zoom meetings this week.
There's a good, if not unfortunate, chance you caught them at the end of a long, draining week. When you follow up next week, continue to sell yourself. They might be recharged by then and look at you with fresh eyes.
Or yeah, it's possible this one just didn't click and you're not a fit for the opportunity.
That’s never a good sign. Usually they add time not take it away, esp. in the odd 45 minute slot. Don’t take it personally though, they may have a mental block on right now that has nothing to do with you.
This had to be the quickest and the most awkward interview I have had so far.
Don’t be worried at all. If you’re looking for a new job, just keep hustling. Whenever I’ve had an interview, I send a thank you after and keep looking until someone says “when can you start?”
