Hi Fishes, Currently I am working in Kolkata for past 3 years. I am not a fan of the humid weather in Kolkata. Whenever I go out, its sweaty.. I have an opportunity to shift my workplace to Hyderabad. I want to know about Hyderabad weather month wise..
Weather is only the deciding factor to move. Anyone who has lived in both the cities for more than a year.. Cognizant Tata Consultancy Capgemini IBM Infosys

HCL Technologies HR and I agreed to 14LPA salary for 3YOE (DE role) and she told me she needs to get approval and will then roll off the offer in 2-3 days. (But in the managerial round, manager was okay with it and forwarded my application to the HR round). She did not request for any documents. Is it possible that she decided not to go forward because of the compensation? I don’t want to sit hoping for the offer..
Who wants to get paid and refer me to Deloitte?
Most definitely pie in the sky

Nah sounds about right
Yup this sounds right. Ballpark 110-115 for GPS SC with 5YoE in DC.
I got this exact offer, it was a reduction in current salary and level. Especially with promotion near it would have been a huge set back. I laid this out to recruiter asked them to come up to 115 and they wouldn’t budge. Plenty of people very happy at Deloitte but the whole process to me was a bit arrogant. Deloitte is a lateral move not taking a cut for lateral. Maybe I’m arrogant.
Hearing the same thing (consultant, 95k max) for a GPS data scientist (or analyst) at 3.5 YOE. I’m still planning on interviewing but it’s not feeling too compelling...

Is this GPS or Deloitte Consulting?
For GPS that sounds about right. I was close to that amount too before I jumped ship to COMMERCIAL

It's right. They bumped my offer to SC to get in my range but i wasn't impressed to have more work for the same salary
For gps thats right
That’s what I came in as from EY last December with 2.5 yoe
Yes, this doesn't feel right, I was offered 120 with. 3 YOE
That’s exactly why my roommate with ~2 YOE got when he switched to Deloitte GPS (tech) from a small contractor back in February. Sounds right to me
Deloitte Consulting or Deloitte Advisory? If Consulting then that sounds right, although that’s a low salary. If Advisory, you should be going for SC
So Advisory is a level behind Consulting*, so an Advisory SC is on par with Consulting C, because Advisory used to start at C and Consulting used to start at Analyst. *Now for the disclaimer, Advisory just added an Analyst role for this year, but that’s meant for new hires. If you are looking for an C role in Consulting, you should still be looking at SC for Advisory to be in the same salary/experience range. Advisory isn’t bringing everyone up a level by adding an entry Analyst role, they’re just fucking over the new hires. As such, Consulting C still == Advisory SC.
The full progression as an FYI is Analyst > Consultant > Sr Consultant > Manager (assuming traditional consulting track at this point and not specialist) > Senior Manager > PPMD. At Manager level you can either go down the traditional consulting (note: this is the same for Advisory and Consulting) path where you now worry more about selling work, vs. Specialist > Specialist Master > PPMD route where you focus on implementing a solution really well.
Does Deloitte commercial pay more? Thinking I should ask the GPS recruiter for contacts at commercial
I think Federal and Commercial have separate recruiters. And they don’t really refer you to the other.
Are you AFS? It seems like this would be a pretty big paycut if you are a CL9 in S&C in the DC area. If you're not in S&C, have you looked at applying for internal roles?
Wondering, what do you make at Accenture? Potentially making the switch at a similar yoe and situation
At ACN I was making 105k at 2.5/3 YOE, 120k at 4 YOE
I came in 2 YoE as a C in commercial at 98k in NYC. Probably could’ve got 105k in hindsight. So that’s fair imo
