You’re not wrong, the AI screening tools are rough, and they’re boxing out folks who could walk in and run the place. But the problem is that the system’s not going to change soon. So you’ve got to outsmart it. Maybe there’s space to lean into smaller operations or franchises that still hire the old-school way. My friend found a great role just by dropping his resume off in person and chatting with the team.

You make a good point, a lot of companies use automated screening tools to deal with the large amount of applications they receive. And they tend to just toss people aside based on criteria that may be suspect. If you can do any networking at all and try to talk to someone that would be a good strategy. And just make sure your resume has very simple formatting so the automated systems don't get confused.
You know what’s funny, I deal with ChatGTP a lot, and had the program to make me a resume that will get past the AI programs, and since then I have at least had a few calls from companies
