I have a friend who works as an EMT/paramedic, and he has recently expressed interest in going into research, specifically research surrounding EMS. I have an offer for a A2 position at a elite boutique but as a lateral hire I will not be placed into their 3 year analyst rotation programme. I have recently received an offer from HSBC for Data Engineer profile. The designation offered is Senior Analyst- Information Management. They said that it is a techno functional role. Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side. Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry.
