How do you handle people’s kids showing up on video meetings? Screaming, kicking, hamming it up, (wasting time.) Everyone else is coo-ing…I’m not a kids person. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Any recs on standing desk converters? Already have a desk so looking for a converter to put on top. Firm is allocating budget for wfh equipment.

Anyone else struggling with moving forward I. Their company? I work with three men and two women, the two women are not in my department but the three men are. It feels like I am being held back simply because I am female. I have done everything they have done and I work three times harder then two of them. Just really frustrated at this point.

I have involved myself into an argument with my lead. She is a very toxic perion who has a right hand in our team and that person is also toxic. So, we had a bad argument on Friday. I didn't back down/slow down because I was right at my place. She even complaint this to her lead. I later had to apologise to her and she also apologised. I'm still afraid.

Licensed in LA, moving to IL, Employment Agreement is with the US sub (DE) of a foreign company (Canada), where both the sub and parent are fully remote companies with 0 physical offices. Have an offer from AWS for an L7 Principal PMT role: $215k base + $275k sign on bonus for Year 1 and $215k for year 2 + 5100 RSUs (@ $130 / share). This is the initial offer; where is there room for negotiation? Base or Sign on Bonus or RSUs? I realize it's a good offer, but I'm looking for: $225k base + existing sign on + 5500 RSUs. Does that sound like a decent counter?
