I have a super cool social media project I did in 2012, and everyone who has seen it loves it. It was a huge project we did for 2 years, and no one was doing anything like it at the time. Now in 2025, everyone is doing it as a social media campaign. Something close to what Liquid Death is doing. So, in interviews, do I bring attention to how innovative it was back in 2012, or should I avoid talking about the date because if I don’t mention the date most people assume it is very recent & uptodate

My answer is less of an agism problem and more of a “what have you done lately” one. If the work you’d want to talk about is from that long ago I’d assume you just happened to be on a team that did a good project, or else you would have continued the success more recently.

Tl;dr focus on your more current successes

Agree with ACD1; I have something similar to your case, and after mentioning it during interviews a couple of times I realized no one really cared as it was long ago. Is this the strongest project you can talk about? If not, talk about most recent, most relevant to the job.

I try to avoid talking about my age due to ageism in our industry. Some may have issues with my best work from decades ago, but some may see it as a positive that I was doing such cool and innovative work decades ago. What do you think?

In my experience no one ever talks about my work in interviews. So my advice is don't bring it up unless someone asks about it, and if they see it in your portfolio and like it that's good enough

What was liquid death doing that you also had the same idea. Genuinely curious

Korky dark, humorous videos and some SNL-type sketch comedy videos all around the brand and its benefits for consumers on social media! And it was 50-plus videos over 2 years. It was a massive project.

I am looking to enter big law. I had a clerkship on a state Business Calendar and am a current first year litigation associate where I have prepared for a trial, taken and defended depositions, and have extensive motion writing practice in tech, business, and employment cases. Is it a waste of time to try and make a move to big law with such few years of experience?

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
