Bird in hand baby.
I can’t speak to your chances, but take the offer you have, and wait for McKinsey to come back. If they do and it’s successful, great you swap firms. You might burn bridges with the boutique by leaving in month, but at the end of the day you’ve got to look out for yourself.
Will all due respect, your profile does not stand out, you applied cold, and you applied at a time when mckinsey has little need for new junior hires. Don't bet on a positive or timely response. Take the other offer. If mckinsey gets back to you, it'll be a pleasant surprise.
Basically what I was thinking, wanted more of a confirmation
You’re not going to get an offer in a week. I’d be pretty surprised if you even get an interview in less than a week. Like others have said, just take the current offer and if McKinsey works out jump ship. No one would ever look at your resume and question why you left
Yeah I’ve heard it can take 2 months to send a reject lol. Seeing a pattern so I think I know what the route is now
Damn I didn’t know Audit could translate into Rx roles or even McKinsey, good for you dude/dudette!
Chief
Also came out of the audit game so I understand how hard they gaslight everyone.
Accept current offer; interview if you get one; go MBB if you can
Not to be harsh but the likeliness of being called for a phone screen is low. Accept the offer and wait for mck to call you if they even do. Most job applications you will apply to in your life, you will never hear back
Oh yeah there been quite a few lmao
Forgive me. What’s an “Rx” firm?
I see it now. Thanks!
