Hi Fishes, I have been offered by Cognizant Consulting to move to UK for a short term. However I have my permanent braces treatment going on in India. Can anyone guide if Cognizant Consulting (UK) covers dental treatment in insurance. Can anyone also let me know how much does braces treatment cost in London? Cognizant

Stay in India... 35 lpa in Bangalore is around at least 90k GBP in Uk on average and around 110k in London.
Also the future of the UK economy isn't good which means future raises will be on the lower end(very low single digit) whereas in India yearly raises will be close to high single digits to low double digits.
I came from India in 2021 on a 50K package against 16lpa and still regretting it.
Let me share some details on London expenses and take home salary after taxes.
Takes home salary after taxes - 3895 GBP
1bhk rent - 1500
Bills and Council tax - 400
Grocery - 400
Transport - 150
Extra (eating out, clothing etc) - 300-400
Total - 2750-2850
You are left with only 1000 GBP per month and please note that the above expenses are on the basis of the low medium standard for a couple. If your living standard is on the higher end then these expenses will go up. Add some extra if you have a kid.
I agree with most of the points, But disagree with the one where you say " if you have a kid" If you have a kid your expenses would increase in India too.
If you and your wife both are earning close to this which is the average salary, I don't think it should be a problem.
Also I believe it would depend on your age too, if you are young, why not? You don't lose anything, Also the wlb is respected, and in general the mentality and perspective of people towards life is different, everyone has their set of hobbies and value their time, which was not the case when I was in India
Another point I want to highlight is the upside potential here is more than that is in India...
Hi what is your tech stack and role, YoE if you don't mind sharing?
35 LPA in adobe is far better. you will get cab, food and many other facilities. Here, in london companies hardly provide any of those levish facilities. In return in UK you get international exposure, quality of life.
