I have been in Personal Injury for over 15 years. I have about 8 years of experience in Medical Malpractice and about 1 1/2 in Family Law.

I am curious would it be hard to transition into a different field of law.

I am interested in possibly Real Estate or just something else.

I love what I do, but I am a little burnt out on PI or maybe it is just the attorneys I have been working for.

Here lately, I have been just wondering it I should get out of the legal field all together.

No, I wouldn’t expect it to be very hard to transition into another area of law if you wanted. That would be the easier path, but ultimately have to know the cause of burnout and what will help.

Absolutely! I hope you find whatever path works best for you.

I know there have been lots of posts on Herman Miller Aeron, etc. but any recommendations for an office chair that will be comfortable for long work days but not be an eyesore in the middle of my apartment? Standard office desk chair will feel out of place with surrounding decor, but more design-oriented options are basically dining chairs that will kill my back with 12-14 hour days. Help!

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I recently left a large lawfirm to go in-house which came with a huge paycut that is not going to be sustainable long term, but needed a remote position to be able to move. I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.

Has anyone dealt with a lack of praise from attorneys? I'm not someone who needs to hear "good job" all the time, but we just got a huge deal closed that I worked really hard on and had a lot of overtime. And once it closed, the lead attorney praised the other attorneys, and said nothing about me or my work. I might just be overly sensitive, but it kind of stung. Thoughts?

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.
