Anyone at MBB looking to make a referral?
Hi All, I was approached by a recruiter to interview for a manager role at Strategy& based out of Toronto. He mentioned the base pay range for a new M will be CAD 145-155k.
Can someone please share:
1: What the interview process will be like?
2: Is the base pay in line?
3: If I go through, is there a signing bonus?PwC Strategy&

I want to know this, please advise! Thank you
I recently read an article about this because I have been suuuper stressed trying to decide how to go about this, as well. I thought it gave some helpful tips for how to ask different people -- from people you know well, to acquaintances, to people you have just found online. I hope it's helpful for you! https://www.glassdoor.com/blog/how-to-ask-for-a-referral/
I am so glad you sent this article. I have actually had several people ask me about this. This is such a great resource to send them. Thank you for sharing.
Bro just ask anyone here on Fishbowl for a referral and they'll give one to you
I got a bunch of referrals from this app but never landed an interview.
I would say anyone you have met in person at least two times and you are connected online on a site like LinkedIn you would be okay to go ahead and a request referral now. The worst thing they will say is no because they do not know you well enough but I see that as unlikely. For people, you are only connected with online, if you have been messaging them and/or interacting with their posts, go ahead a request a referral.
Try to see how you can add value to your connections. Ask them what they are working on and see if you can help them for free or in a way that can benefit both sides. Sometimes you have to give first before receiving anything in exchange.
It sounds like you're doing a good job with the networking. I say meet them in a more casual setup so you could also talk about casual stuff outside work; life, experiences, etc. I think it's an effective way to boost connections.
You can always ask for one. You don;t really need to increase you network. Ask anyone here on Fishbowl.
