It happens. All you need to do is be honest with you seniors. Tell them why you have a discomfort on the same. Since you already got a reward, they know and appreciate the efforts you have put in the project. They will understand your scenario and will guide you accordingly.
Had a similar situation with my stint at EY. Was rated at Gold standard by client and got appreciation emails from seniors as well. But the project work was so stressful that eventually I had to leave the company as client declined to add resources to the project. May have taken the easy way out but then was satisfied with my decision due to the reduced stress level.
I don't know about the whole issue but Sometimes when a big project is entrusted with us, our mind tends to overthink on every little detail of it. If you believe it is something that you can't handle on your own then be candid in asking for some support. Most of the challenging work has already been done by you (that's why you received the award?). You know it, the management knows it.
Try to put it out in a smarter way like maybe on this XYZ feature, i believe it would work for most of the scenerios but for testing purposes and just to ensure that things work in every situation, i could use some extra hands. This will help me in getting third person view on the same?
