I use hiring.cafe and wahjobqueen a lot more but I feel like it's mostly good for remote jobs. other than that i'm on indeed, simplyhired, snagajob, zip recruiter, glassdoor (obviously) and idk how to use linkedin at all lol.

I will try them, because I love remote jobs! Linkedin is only good in my opinion to network (it is like a facebook for business folks).
I've been applying directly on company websites whenever I see a job that I'm interested in. I also do a lot of research on the companies when I see them and some of them are obviously scams but some of them are genuinely legit, I just hadn't heard of them before.

If you know the company names, you can. Just go on their website and look for any jobs their are hiring for.

You are REALLY limiting yourself if you are only looking for remote or local jobs as there are thousands of people looking for work. The purpose of a job website is that they pull any job that they find employers list on them and from many other websites. Whether you are on Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.., you are able to broaden the search by entering in your zip code / city and state plus the distance you are willing to travel. Honestly, in this job market and economy I would be looking for ANY and ALL jobs regardless of if they are remote, hybrid, or in office because honestly if they pay and are both legal and ethical they are good jobs.
Do a web search for career solutions services near you. They can provide job leads and keep you up to date on job fairs near you.
Not trusting recruiters, the normal sites have gotten me traction but I might need to try others
