I have been working in Consulting since the last 4 years and stay in Downtown Toronto and recently me and my wife are planning to move to suburbs since we are planning to grow a family. Which are the recommended neighbourhoods around Toronto which have decent white collared young professionals with around 1 hour commute to DT. Our budget is less than a million so I cant think of Mississauga, Oakville, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham and left only with Brampton and maybe Milton.

Friend of mine is going to EYP following their MBA. They asked if they would be able to lateral over in 2 years to PE. Any tips on how they can best set themselves up to do so? (Previous experience was naval academy and 5 years served as an officer)

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?
