I have joined ACTI a month back in Kolkata in L9. I wanted to opt for Company Car Lease policy just to save TAX but finding it too complicated.
I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.

Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. I know it's dauting to resign when you do not have an offer in hand.
Let's do an analysis of your current situation:
Pros:
1.Works in TCS, so your current ctc would not be high.. Even if you ask for 100℅ hike another company can easily afford hiring you.
2. TCS brand does have it's benefits.
Cons based on asssumptions:
1. You have worked in a technology which is either very common or out of date.
Mitigation action:You got to do some certifications.
2. Notice period: 3months. Why do you think companies like TCS have 3 month NP. It's a trap which only the brave can attempt to ignore. This is basically exploitative.
Unless you are a gem and able to reflect this on your resume, no recruiter will even spit on you due to this NP. That's what TCS wants.
Mitigation action:No option but to take the plunge.
I did it and it was the best decision of my life. You are quite young and should be able to afford taking risk.
Dont think notice period as a hurdle. Think notice period as the buffer zone between employment and unemployment.
In those 3 months, you can spend time care free chasing butterflies or you could learn new stuff around your desired role...
I chose the first one and still managed to get a better job.. In fact much better job and that too remote bro...
At the end of the day you are responsible for the problems in your life.
Do you have the guts and the talent to match those guts??
Thanks a lot!!
I have been working as a cloud engineer for the past 3 months, specialised on Azure. I also have dome experience ok devops activities but not in extreme depth.
Like you said, i think Ishould take that risk. 🙂
Boss nikal jao…koi fayda nahi…btw your ceo just drew 25cr last year. Tera khun kab khaulega?
I will suggest not to resign without an offer in hand. The job scene is not too good outside. A good company will always wait during the NP. We (in TCS) too wait for good candidates. I will definitely recommend to look out for a better job although if you are looking for onsite I can help. Feel free to reach out to me. You would know how to find me in TCS.
Hi,
Thank you!
How will you be able to help with on-site if am into it. In my current project they are only sending experienced folks(>10yoe). Also, I have heard multiple folks saying that TCS has some budget restrictions on onsite. They are not sending anyone until or unless it is that necessary.
Looking forward for serious opinions from everyone. Im completely confused at this point 🙂
Thanks a lot in advance. ❤️
Isn't the notice period negotiable?
In most of the organisations notice period is negotiable with mutual understanding
Things in TCS is not as smooth or straight forward as we see it for other companies.
Almost all the processes are too complicated.
The market is very much improving. I took naukri premium pack and getting so many calls from good companies. Please don’t spread fear about the market.
It worked well for me. I got 3 interview opportunities with JPMC. I finally converted the 3rd one. This is one example. Multiple other good companies like Natwest, BT gave me calls.
It was like every week I get calls from 5-6 companies. While without premium it was just 5-6 a month, that too okayish companies.
I will also complete my 3 yrs in june in tcs
Best way to avoid np is to go on bench ask for release in your current project if possible
I totally get this that most company’s HR says we
Will get back to you once they hear 90 days np
So best is stay on bench and if you get projects calls
Say i am not interested in this tech
Basically time pass kro unka
I was on bench for three months i prepared for interviews and once i got one offer i resigned
Tcs gave me release in just ten days
If you were working on good tech
You will def get around 200%hike
Or else take risk
It’s still better than staying in tcs🥲😜
Anyways good luck for your future
Thanks mate for the insights ❤️
