I have intern for the company for a year and got a full time offer. It’s been 2 months since I become a full time and I feel that I have learn a lot but also, I have been gaining a lot of responsibilities. I have been the only design engineer (in my discipline) in a few projects and now I am taking the responsibility to keep a 700k ft project with all new revision and most of its CA. Is this normal in the industry or I am getting a lot of work?

Actually sounds like a great opportunity to gain real-world experience that will make you much more valuable to future employers. Show them what you've got!

Life changes when one transitions from intern to fulltime work. All I can say is try learning as much as you can and them apply to a different role at another company.

Hi all, need some advice here, like a lot of others here, Google is definitely a dream company for me to work at. I come from a non-technical background, currently working as a project manager + associate product manager (20% project situation) at a SaaS company. I would really appreciate the input on my chances for a Program manager/ associate product manager role. Also, what are some of the key skills that are utilized extensively in these roles, which google considers a great asset?

Tax Senior here. I’m well liked around the office, I put in the hours and work hard, I haven’t had any dumpster fire projects, but I am a mediocre performer compared to my peers (not as strong project management, communication, not as confident). I just got told they’re firing me. Should I expect severance? Have other people been fired for similar? What did you do with your career?

My client’s site got hacked yesterday. I didn’t see any actual signs of impending attack. But knowing how little we do for cyber security when building a site, I knew we must have been vulnerable in some way. I’ve tried pushing for more cybersecurity measures in the last year, but being a Jr, I don’t know a lot about it. My manager had brushed it off as something that would be nice to look into if [insert excuses not to here]. Can’t push it off any longer. I’m afraid heads are gonna roll.Advice?
