Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

Hey you should put your mental wellness first. As a last step, try to look for other projects or even outside of your current employer.
For starters, you should also try to talk directly to the Manager and let them know how you feel before taking any decisions because toxic Managers are everywhere and you should be able to speak and look out for yourself without having to worry about promotion/hikes/recognition etc.
Most toxic Managers backoff when they know they are dealing with someone who can react. My general opinion on us Indians is that we try to sweep everything under the rug without speaking up making things worse for everyone. Speak up using the best business language possible!
I will not escalate. I am not at a good mental status to fight. I am looking for other opportunities.

Quit, don’t take stress. You will find a job today or tomorrow. Even I faced similar things in a big4, actively looking out now.

Switch is the only option. I was in a similar position, so I quit within 6 months. There are many opportunities for an Instructional Designer in the market.
Why don't you change to another project. I would suggest you to look for the internal job opportunities
You can change to another project where your reporting manager will also get changed. There are multiple service lines and many projects to try. All the best
If you are not happy, leave. I did the same thing. I am in big 4 now. Exception to your case now

I am also switching due to toxic environment and work fatigue.
The only perk of big 4 is that they allow u to switch to another project easily. The process will take 1-2 months.
Clearly explain your management that this project is not in alignment to your aspirations and you're looking for other opportunities.
Trying to understand why you are feeling toxic...trust me toxic managers are there everywhere and there are some managers who are exceptionally good. Help us understand why you are calling him toxic manager. Is he harrassing you ? Or making you work for long hrs ? Asking to work all five days from office ? Not approving leaves ?
Talk to your HR, Try for IJP if you are eligible
