S&P Global Anyone here work at S&P Global? I’m a project manager who has been with the company for a few years. My position has changed at review time the last few years, so I’ve never gone through the raise process. What percentages have you seen with the company? I’m feeling a bit overworked at this point and don’t want to have my expectations higher than what is reasonable, but also feel like I’ll need a large-ish chunk of cash to feel better about how much I’m working. There is most likely a bias towards tech cause a lot of people here work in it so you’re going to hear a lot of that.
Atlassian certainly is a more compelling brand, but it ultimately depends on what the actual job is at each company. Senior financial analyst is a pretty vague title. Would be “better” to be a senior financial analyst in a high impact function like corporate development / strategy at UNH, vs. the same title in FP&A / accounting at Atlassian, for example.
Personally would go with the Atlassian role. The UNH position sounds somewhat vague yet also highly specific, which is not a good combination for either learning or for recruiting for next job. The Atlassian role sounds like you’ll develop a more transferable skill set.
I've worked at UHG 3 times, with 13 years tenure and am looking to leave. The company has really changed and not for the better. While you may end up in a role that has an annual bonus of 13%, that doesn't mean you'll get anywhere close to it. First, the department performance and corporate performance dictates how much bonus money they are awarded, then it's split over the team, and the top 30% of performers get the full bonus or even a little more, the middle third get less and the lowest third the least. Even if you were rated as meeting expectations, if you're not a top performer, you lose out. Last year I met expectations, got about 85% of my bonus and a 1.5% salary increase. While the bands shift over time to accommodate COLA, you won't get a salary bump for it, just your merit. Your PTO is capped at 40 hrs carryover, and when you leave, any remaining PTO is frozen the moment you turn in your resignation and you don't get it paid out when you leave. Right now, it's nearly impossible to move around in the company, although I expect that will change but they are very driven by saving money each year, and a lot of that is accomplished by layoffs and hiring freezes. Overall, I'd say stay away.
Lol guess I found the person that beat me out for the role at Atlassian…
What is the comp ballpark at Atlassian please?
