So I'm new to IT field and got only 1 year experience in automation testing using Tosca, I got training in java and selenium and I studied selenium myself in free time to learn more in testing, I'm thinking to make a switch next year. I’m just about done with my MBA (down to my last 2) and I worry about getting low balled because I lack management experience. I am a registered respiratory therapist of just about 20 years and now I work as a clinical liaison for a LTACH. I was a RT charge/team lead while still on the floor but never had any experience with financial management. That concerns me. I don’t know how best to transition into operations management without having to take a severe pay cut. Any suggestions?

Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). I have a BS/MS/PhD in engineering and an MBA in business analytics. Currently making 100k as an engineer IV. As an engineer with a functional knowledge (but no former training) in IT and data analytics, what are the best avenues to get to 200k without changing fields and starting at an entry level position (or moving to a HCOL area)?

Should I take a test waiver for Georgetown PT with a 600 score if I have a 3.8 GPA from an above average state school in Finance & Information Systems and will have 4 YOE when applying - 1Tech at a Bank, 1 Consulting, 2 Corp Strat at a smaller healthcare co (current). 600 was my first try so I still have time to get it up as well.

Hi all, I am really trying to pivot into PM, but I am running into hurdles with my history. I do have several years of project management experience, but no formal certifications. My current employer utilizes Kanban, but we don’t use WIP boards (we basically have to memorize where all our projects are at). We only use a CRM to manage our projects. What kind of tools/methods is everybody using to keep track of ad-hoc, 1:1 and other regular meeting notes, action items for those meetings and to-dos/tasks from outside of those meetings? I’ve found bullet journaling to be extremely helpful, but I’m not a fast enough hand writer and I haven’t yet found an app that’s easy enough to use.

Most of my cases don't ever even reach litgation. However, I just settled my first case that I truly thought was going to trial. The feeling is odd. A mix between satisfaction and disappointed. We won but it was still odd.

My husband and I have been TTC for 6 months. I’m 28 and he’s 32. I know they say you should wait 1 year until you see a doctor.

We want to see a doctor soon so they can help us sooner than later.
I’m concerned that doctor may be dismissive towards us and say “come back later”. But I’ve known family members who said they wished they saw doctor earlier as some issues can be spotted and fixed easily.

I’m interested in hearing others experience on when you first went to see a doctor.
