I am admitted to the full-time MBA program at Cornell, Goizueta, and Gtech Scheller.
I have no AWS experience. How likely would I be able to find a position if I get the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification?
Deal execution analyst at mega fund —> MBA —> investment professional at MM PE?
Is this a logical progression?^^^
Hi All, I’m new here, and I’m curious about people’s experiences about graduate level studies. I’d like to figure it out what would be the next step for me; Master’s or MBA for top consulting firm e.g. BCG
I’ve a B.S. in Economics (minors in Finance & Data Analytics), was a D1 athlete, worked on campus for 2 years, and have two years of experience as a business consultant in IT consulting / Business Analysis role at a small firm. I heard MBA may worth less than masters. Appreciate any advice.
So I'm new to IT field and got only 1 year experience in automation testing using Tosca, I got training in java and selenium and I studied selenium myself in free time to learn more in testing, I'm thinking to make a switch next year. How much of a pay raise should I expect? And can I get referrals for QA engineers from companies like Accenture or TCS or other big tech companies? I'm a newbie so it'll be helpful if someone could guide me thanks
I’m just about done with my MBA (down to my last 2) and I worry about getting low balled because I lack management experience. I am a registered respiratory therapist of just about 20 years and now I work as a clinical liaison for a LTACH. I was a RT charge/team lead while still on the floor but never had any experience with financial management. That concerns me. I don’t know how best to transition into operations management without having to take a severe pay cut. Any suggestions?
I want to acquire Google certified Associate cloud engineer certification as part of the MLT program but the certification is not reimbursable . HR was saying there would be some voucher available around the same in CoE. Could you please suggest where I can get the voucher ?
For those who are considering other options besides returning to Deloitte post-MBA - did you still mention that you were sponsored for schools where sponsored students are aren’t eligible for financial aid/scholarships?
I'm planning to do my PGDM in Canada
Which College/Universities should I consider to get recruited into top consulting firms (Also the preferred courses) ?
What schools should I realistically target? Columbia possible? I'm Asian F, 3.0 GPA from HYP, 1 year data science, 3 years boutique healthcare consulting, volunteer mental health counselor
Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). I have a BS/MS/PhD in engineering and an MBA in business analytics. Currently making 100k as an engineer IV. As an engineer with a functional knowledge (but no former training) in IT and data analytics, what are the best avenues to get to 200k without changing fields and starting at an entry level position (or moving to a HCOL area)?
Should I take a test waiver for Georgetown PT with a 600 score if I have a 3.8 GPA from an above average state school in Finance & Information Systems and will have 4 YOE when applying - 1Tech at a Bank, 1 Consulting, 2 Corp Strat at a smaller healthcare co (current). 600 was my first try so I still have time to get it up as well.
As far as you know, does BCG PIPE do work with VC firms? I am starting in BCG NYC after I graduate and I have VC experience pre-MBA
Hi all, I am really trying to pivot into PM, but I am running into hurdles with my history. I do have several years of project management experience, but no formal certifications. My current employer utilizes Kanban, but we don’t use WIP boards (we basically have to memorize where all our projects are at). We only use a CRM to manage our projects. I’m trying to get a Google project management certificate, as this counts towards the PMP, but I’m too burnt out. Any recs for courses/carts?
Does it make sense to try and transfer to MBB after ~1 year to entry level associate or wait until promotion (~2 years) at current firm and come in as a senior associate
International Admits - if you are borrowing the tuition cost for an MBA from your family (not parents), what are you telling the school for I-20? Are you calling it a loan or family sponsorship?
I have prior experience in working on strategy consulting projects however i do not have a MBA degree. I have an undergrad degree from a Tier 1 college and around 3 yoe in research as well as strategy consulting (I know weird but was exposed to both as a part of job profile).
How to switch a pure strategy consulting profile at MBB or similar firms?
Has anyone had a part time MBA experience? What were the challenges? And how did you align work hours expectations with your Manager? Did you take your normal annual leaves or was it study leave or no leave at all?
Is it normal for PR agencies to have a high turnover rate? For reference, I work at a boutique agency with 9 people but half the people who were there when I started in January of this year are gone.
Thoughts on H4B Chelsea?
There needs to be an easier way to communicate to your boss that you just wanna chill in your current spot for a bit. I am not interested in "advancing" into $20k/year more and trading endless nights and weekends for the sake of new biz. Let me just hang out with my family and get my job done at 5.
My husband never reads and wants to start reading as a new hobby. What is a good book that you would recommend for a 40 year old man? Not self help books, but maybe something with action. I think he would like the Bourne series, but he saw all the movies so he's not interested, but something similar.
After giving two weeks’ notice for a firm (ID if it matters), should you file notices or motions to withdraw from each of your cases? Mostly in state court. TIA!
What do you honestly think of scorpios? ♏️ I know we get a bad rep but I’m curious to hear what people think, good or bad
How does a good mentor relationship look like? What’s normal to expect from your mentor? I would appreciate if you can share your thoughts.
Work for a boutique firm that is super conservative. Thinking about joining Big 4 since I think it is more acceptable. Currently have an offer at EY, what is the gay culture like?
What kind of tools/methods is everybody using to keep track of ad-hoc, 1:1 and other regular meeting notes, action items for those meetings and to-dos/tasks from outside of those meetings? I’ve found bullet journaling to be extremely helpful, but I’m not a fast enough hand writer and I haven’t yet found an app that’s easy enough to use.
Most of my cases don't ever even reach litgation. However, I just settled my first case that I truly thought was going to trial. The feeling is odd. A mix between satisfaction and disappointed. We won but it was still odd.
This stuff is delicious! A light sweet spice and what I thought was a small hint of chocolate. And it goes down very easy! Not harsh at all. Surprising for a rye.
I am planning to switch my profile to Google Cloud.
Tech Stack: C++
Please help me to kickstart my journey.
Where to start what need to be studied/practised.
Thanks in Advance.
Does anyone have good recommendations for spa/massages in ATL? Would be part of the Christmas gift for the GF
My husband and I have been TTC for 6 months. I’m 28 and he’s 32. I know they say you should wait 1 year until you see a doctor.
We want to see a doctor soon so they can help us sooner than later.
I’m concerned that doctor may be dismissive towards us and say “come back later”. But I’ve known family members who said they wished they saw doctor earlier as some issues can be spotted and fixed easily.
I’m interested in hearing others experience on when you first went to see a doctor.
I am seeing children and adults complaining of worsening allergies this year. I am in Michigan. Are other PA's seeing a similar trend with their patients?
Should this cross-post to the excel bowl??
