Keep drilling random multiple choice. It will help put everything together and help you recognize what subject is being tested.
I agree with the comment above. That's the best way for it to stick on a subconscious level. However, I also understand how you're feeling -- my ADHD sometimes makes it difficult for me to retain info in the long term, which makes test-taking very difficult.
I also have ADHD and found going through the lessons set me up for failure. I tend to be a perfectionist (common among adhd folk) and get too into the details. Instead I recommend just doing as many MCQs as you can each day. The key is to read explanations and really understand why you get things wrong. If a certain topic is difficult and the explanation isn’t enough then go to lectures/textbook. Otherwise just keep doing as many MCQ as you can each day. The week before exam throw in some sims for practice as well (focus on heavily tested topics).
You should read and familiarize. That's why it is being advised that you read what you have read twice or more than once. That is for your retention. You have to place it in your subconscious so that even if you forget, you can still pull out pieces of information. familiarity will be your key to remember what you have read.
Hello! Don't be discouraged. Just choose one or two materials and focus on it.You don't need too many materials to learn.
I understand what you're going through. You are probably overwhelmed and anxious. We all are. Don't hoard materials, just pick one.
Make a daily schedule and make sure to stay committed. When you form a study habit, the rest would follow. You got this!
It is normal to feel anxious. Trust in yourself. You've studies and did your part. Best of luck!
Randomization definitely helps! You have to keep tricking your brain and making it stay alert! I have the same issue and doing the random drills has really helped me be more focused
Thanks! I'll keep this in mind when I start studying again -- I'm taking a couple weeks off for now though.
One thing I learned recently is to space out your study material. Like for example pick out 5 topics to learn under one subject, then after switch to another subject also with 5 topics. I forgot the name of this method but tried it out and definitely helps with retention!
Studying without having time to do so entails sacrifice. You need to wake up a little earlier, or stay up a little later into the night just so you can study. But definitely get enough sleep that is the key to retention.
