I hope you all have a person you feel comfortable texting at 3am while you're up with baby for any random thoughts, venting, or just catching up.

I have a friend who I told to feel free to text me whenever, because I know how lonely the middle of the night can be. She doesn't do it often, maybe one every few weeks, but I'll wake up to a wall of texts from her full of the real life she's dealing with. And it makes me happy that she feels comfortable enough to do so.

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

Anyone else struggling with hormones / mood swings? I am almost 16 weeks and been having a real tough time lately, feeling really down and stressed about things.
