Do you have homeowners insurance? If so, take a deep breath. Should the tenant request your insurance information, comply and let your carrier defend you. There’s no need to be concerned. If you don’t have insurance, you should be concerned.
People can (& will) sue for anything. Doesn't mean they'd win at a trial, but they'll be a nuisance and more than likely get a small settlement from the insurance company.
It's doesn't sound like you had any notice of the harm to be caused by the door either. Notice is key in a premises liability case..
