Had a bad showing for case interview about a month ago. I knew the material i just straight up had a bad day. Took feedback in exit interview and feel prepared to reapply for a different role with no cool off time… should I still wait or shoot my shot?

Bain & Company Is anyone else getting their application to Bain & Company pushed backed?
As of yesterday, even though I applied in May, and that while they liked my application, they will not be considering me till early 2023.
This is the second time they pushed back their consideration... 😞

I think associate can still get bschool sponsorship while SAs can't, but SA has higher pay and supposedly faster path to promotion but empirically similar (eg 18 instead of 24 months). When negotiating ask for big signing bonus.

Yes
Thanks all for the input. Sounds like Associate level is not only appropriate for my YOE but also takes a bit of pressure off so I have more time for the learning curve.
But still excited that you got an offer!! Hope you join the group
I'm ecstatic about getting the opportunity because I've been working towards this for a while, but slightly apprehensive because I'm giving up my promotion in 2~3 months at my current firm

I had 1.5 years of experience, was 1 month away from promotion at my old firm, came in as a normal Associate and haven’t regretted it a bit for what it’s worth. Year 1 you’ll make >100, year 2 120, and year 3 190
Ah okay - assumed BCG did as McK does
Tbh people with 3~4 YOE come in as a SA if not associate
You need to clarify this before you start the interview process as they have different expectations (e.g. I got to interview for a C position because the partner who referred me pushed to have me interview as a C given I can’t be part of the digital practice unless you’re C or higher)
Coming in as an A comes with a lower salary but more runway to learn and make consultant
Pretty standard FYI!
Hi! What was your approach to make the jump? Did you apply directly online?
Do you mind if I ask how you prepared? Have a first round in the next couple of weeks! Thanks!
