I just had my review. Second Highest performer in the firm in tax. I’ve had my CPA for 5 years now. Started at this firm a year and a half ago in a completely new area of tax. I was at 96k when I started. The firm is in NJ.

They offered me 5k raise and 5k bonus………….

How disrespectful is this? The partner immediately said they’ll get me a new number when I told them I was not expecting this.

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. Is anyone else concerned about how to raise the expectations and students’ self-discipline back to pre-enabling levels?

L1 expecting an L2 offer any day, next summer start. HCOL area and trying to figure out what is reasonable for income. Non-traditional student and new to public though I have work experience at the para and professional level.
