I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

I asked for multiple things to get my position to where I felt like it deserved. I asked for a title change, I asked for an updated job description, to reflect all the responsibilities I was now in charge of. I was always given the same response - "That is up to HR. We have no say in that." I recently found out that they changed the title and the job description as soon as I left so that it could fit the person they hired to fill the position. I am so upset right now because with that information I provided that person now has the pay and respect I fought 6 years for. UGH
Those upper and lower management personnel would go to lunch together all the time. They would discuss their plan loudly, yet I was never offered an invitation. I was recently told that the BOSS told them they were not going to invite me ever because she did not want to adjust her schedule to meet what my hours were (We were all given 1 hour lunch, but they would take at least 2 hours). They were given laptops to work from home when they needed so they could adjust their schedules for normal life, but I had to be at work by 8 and stay until 5 every day with no remote work option. I was told "There is nothing you do that is important enough to negate providing you a laptop and remote work options". They would come in late and leave early, but because they could WFH, they still made their 40-hour weeks. I had to use my PTO time to cover appointments, but they could work from home and get OT to make up for time lost due to appointments. If I got OT, it had to be approved before I could claim it.
Unfortunately this is a very common theme among admins. I was treated very similar to this and dumped on daily. Admin work is tougher than most think. When you’re everyone’s assistant the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing so they never realize how much is on your plate. And don’t get me started on the double standards and unfair treatment… I’ve experienced many of the things you mentioned about lunch hours and work from home… I never had the perks that everyone else had.
I am on the crap list with the principal. She kept giving me the craptacular jobs and kept giving me unsatisfactory critiques on performance reviews. Due to many mental, psychically and physical issues, I had to report her to the state civil rights office. Now armed with FMLA, she has to be on her Ps and Q's.
