I just parted ways with a company that I thought I would be with until retirement or success, whatever that may mean. After a few months out of the office due to surgeries related to an accident, some changes were made to middle management that resulted in me reporting to someone who reported to their dad and brother in law. They are a small company, but know better than to have family members reporting to each other as levels of management. Long story short, I was asked to resign.

I’ve happily had a crack at helping them but it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse - is this ask something that would ordinarily be given to an agency copywriter? A recruiter at another B4 gave me a number much lower than what I’m currently making. Should I tell them how much im making now, which is admittantly at the very top of the SC band, or counter with a range that’s more than I’m making? Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction.
