Compgauge has all of these in the top 11 for their best companies for tech sales rankings (ranked 8, 9, and 11 respectively). They all look to pay roughly the same ($300k+) per compgauge...

You're enjoying the tax work but looking to leave...? Tax is a great career if you enjoy it.
...but yes it is going to pigeonhole you much more than general accounting roles. If you're interested in FP&A, you should leave pretty quickly. We've basically thrown out tax resumes without even an interview (not that I agree with it, but that's how things are). The one I recall was someone who did tax for a few years before switching to audit (they got an offer).
You're also extremely early in your career. Learn, network, and think about next steps like you're doing now. You'll be fine. FP&A isn't rocket science.
Do you want to stay at a B4 or eventually move to industry? You’ll always be more narrowly focused at an accounting firm than in industry. So stay in tax for a few years and then plan to broaden out.
I want to go into industry! I am just worried that in the couple years I spend in tax I will find out I don’t like it and I’ll be pushed away from any other accounting rolls and only into tax positions when I leave for industry
