My favorite Christmas film is John Huston's adaptation of James Joyce's "The Dead," which takes place mostly at a Christmas party in Dublin. It's a beautiful work of art. I also like two old ones from the 40s, It Happened on Fifth Avenue, and Miracle on 34th Street, both coincidentally titled for streets in New York City.

A Christmas Story is a tradition in my household, so definitely that. Nightmare Before Christmas is also another favorite.

My son loves the nightmare before Christmas and believe it or not. Usually I have watched a Christmas story already a handful of times I’ve only watched it not even once I am so delayed this year. Lol tonight that’s what’s coming on!
Any one of the older classics like It’s a Wonderful Life or the old Rudolph. While there are a ton of newer movies that are awesome, something about the old ones really hit me in the nostalgia and take me back to being a kid watching those, all excited for Christmas to come! Getting to share that as an adult is magical!

I love the nostalgic vibe as well. The classics cannot be B and the new films just cannot do with the old dead but that’s OK. I have the old classics on reruns constantly in my house my kids that’s all they know lol.
