I know you should technically use your Amex for business expenses, but does anyone have experience of using personal card to get points? Is it easy to get away with?

I'm not sure exactly (don't have it myself) but I think it's something like $95. If I recall, others have told me the break even point is around $9000.

like

^how much is to get the points. I know this has been discussed on here before and here is a break even point that you have to hit to make it worthwhile

like

Depends if you travel a lot. For me, it's worth it. I probably have like $700 in point value now

like

Haha, partners in my group are the ones who taught me the points game. Firm made a lot of noise about external credit cards like 18 months ago but I haven't ever gotten push back on any expenses since then (~35k in expenses over that period).

like

Delta card for flights and Marriott card for hotel, all else on the Amex. If you have to submit your receipt for the expense anyway (air and hotel) might as well get the points.

like

I had gotten away with it before using another AmEx card to book tickets but not sure if I just got lucky or they don't care...

like

If its under the receipt policy youre probably fine

Pay for the points on your corporate Amex. Super easy to get away with because that's how you are supposed to do it...

Yea I think it's $95 a year. The points equate to 1% cash back. So, the break even point is $9,500 a year

Frequent traveler - use spg Amex for all stays.

I use my Marriott credit card for all my hotel stays. Outside of that it seems like it would be a pain

Ey3 I did that for a while and then the partner caught onto people doing it and make a big deal out of it and said it is a fireable offense. Haven't done it since, so just be careful

That is one of the best perks of leaving B4.
No corporate card, so I use my CSR card.

What if you forget your corporate card? Can you charge the hotel stay to your personal card and get it expensed with receipt?

I recently was let go (in lieu of accepting my two weeks) and I should have received my March expense check by the end of April per the employment agreement (submitted the report April 1, let go before mid April). I have emailed HR but haven't heard anything. I've got a feeling someone at the top is putting a hold on it.

How do I get my money from them? It's a few hundred dollars

Sorry if this isn't the right bowl for this question - I've checked a few.

Based on the Gross salary offered I have calculated the in hand salary per month would be around 152000 considering 150000 in 80C, 50000 in NPS and 200000 deductions due to home loan interest. Total tax liability is around 400000. Any other options do I have to save tax further (other than HRA, LTA)? Thanks in advance.

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.
