South Sandy springs is nice. So is Vinings/Smyrna, which is a bit better in terms of traffic getting to midtown
South Sandy springs / right at 285&400
Based on what you’ve described try to stay walking distance to a neighborhood village where you will have bars, restaurants, and little shops…being just east of Piedmont park in morningside/Lenox park, VaHi, poncey higlands would give you those options and still manageable to get to the belt line to get to inman, o4w, grant park areas or up to buckhead if you wanted. Depending what flexibility you have with your career, if in midtown/downtown those areas are a quick drive or ebike ride.
Sandy Springs is amazing to stay at. 15 minutes from every part of Atlanta.
Sandy Springs
Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Smyrna
Brookhaven and Sandy Springs are great— look for houses or townhomes in Inman Park or Virginia Highlands, those are the most beautiful areas IMO close to the Beltline, city life, etc. If I wasn’t moving out of ATL in a couple of months IP/VH are where I would move to in a heartbeat!
Candler Park, Lake Claire, Virginia Highlands, and Morningside neighborhoods are what you’re looking for.
