I lost 27K excluding fees on SPX. I want to stop trading and just let it go cause it seems to just get worse. Can I really not find a way to deduct this from my taxes?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to get into real estate investing. Some of the books I've read have talked about buying a multi unit property and utilizing investors to get the necessary capital. Does anyone have experience in getting investors? How do you identify investors who may be interested? Are there any sites where you can invest in or post investment opportunities?

Let’s say you have two young, high income partners in a couple who want to buy a house together but don’t really care to get married. They already live together in an apartment but both want to move to a house to build equity and have a yard, not share walls, etc. Should one partner buy the house and the other pays rent until they get married, or should they get a mortgage together without being married? I realize there isn’t a “right” answer but I’m interested in people’s experiences here.

Hello All, I have got an Offer from PWC as an Associate in the Advisory line of service. The team is mentioned to be Forensics. Wanted to check how is the team and what are the WFH arrangements. If I end up with 0% apportionment under GIT and 10% apportionment under CBT (withholding tax), the partnership pays tax upfront but NRs get 100% refund?

I'm on a H1B so I am supposed to pay Medicare and SS taxes, but my employer has not withheld anything- my hnr block advisor caught that but she just completed my returns assuming I don't have to pay those taxes
