I read that the title of Director at Bain has been recently changed to Senior Partner, does that imply that the level of an Associate Director is higher than that of an Associate Partner?

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

This one is for folks on h1b visa. So at time when you have an offer in hand(not accepted the offer yet and h1b transfer process not yet begun) while you are working with your current employer, do you even speak to your employer about your new offer to see if they make a counter offer?

I’m maxing out the 6th year for H1b and my I-140 just got approved. 1 month ago, my employer has filed a h1b extension but it is based on the approved PERM instead of the 140, and only asked for one-year extension.
