I received a compliment at work today and it had a huge impact on me. It’s amazing what effect even a small dose of recognition has on morale. It’s really not that hard to create a positive culture.

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Additionally I’ve had a couple interviews where company “X” interviewers have commented on this and in an effort to not bad mouth my previous employer I’m stuck with a generic answer like I want to take my career to the next level with Company “X.” Any thoughts/advice?

How is work life balance and overall culture in @opentext?

Joining company in a month, would be working first time from office.

Do we need to spend weekends. Working or weekends are really weekend?

In one interview today with Kundyl. Their expectation is to be available oncall 24*7... With work from office.

They literally got offended and stared at me for asking about WLB...

Seems companies are not learning, even after the great resignations.. the big names... Like TCS, ibm.. are not doing any changes to their work culture and ethics to improve WLB.

I'm conscious that most interviewers will be politically correct and provide a generic answer, but I still ask them "why did you choose xxx, and why do you stay at xxx?"

How is everyone planning their family vacations? Specially looking for people with kids. I have 2 kids and a family vacation for 4 people for a week easily comes to a min of 5k -6k (flight, car, hotel, eating out every day, entertainment tickets) and if we end up taking 2-3 vacations per year, it costs about 15-20k. McKinsey referral system glitch?

I got a referral from an EM over a month ago. He says my candidate status showed "turned down" immediately following the submission. He suspects it was because the status from my previous application to McKinsey over 2 years ago got pulled into the system automatically. Till now I still haven't received the application link and no recruiter has been assigned. Kind of lost about what to do next.

I finished my L1, L2 and HR rounds last week. The HR had requested for the documents and I sent them on the same day. From there how many days will it take to release the offer letter.
