I received a lateral promotion. Since I started working at this job about 5 years ago my responsibilities have increased greatly. I’ve asked for raises, they were declined. I basically pitched the idea of having my position analyzed bc I felt my responsibilities were greater than my current tier. They agreed & I got this promotion. The promotion is only a 5k increase & I was moved from non-exempt to exempt. I am grateful but also feel I deserve more. What is a typical increase for lateral promo?

I was hired on with a company at the same time as my male coworker. We work the exact position, different projects.
I asked him flat out what his salary was when he hired on. His salary is at minimum 15% more. He’s never had a raise.
Neither one of us had any experience in this specific position but he didn’t even have experience in the field, which I did.
I requested a performance and salary review because it’s my annual review time anyway. Best way to address this? Also applying elsewhere.

Hello, in my previous organisation I worked in development domain (Oracle IAM Tool and Java)and my post was software Engineer, i joined Wipro as project Engineer in April 2022 and was assigned non technical project as an analyst.

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness.
