Thanks for the words of advice!
Make suggestions, but proceed slowly and carefully. Every organization always seems to have new arrivals who want to make major changes based on their past experience. And you really don't want to be that guy. Little bit different, but it reminds me of a bumper sticker I once saw in Florida: "We don't care how you do it up north."
I agree with this one
Depends whether your new firm recognises the gap between it and your new firm. If so, just gently demonstrate one of the new smaller differences and ask them if it has made a positive difference. If so, then gently tackle some of the bigger gaps.
Ask questions, so you can learn and they can explain why it is the way it is. That will often reveal the low hanging fruit you can focus on. If successful, you will have earned their trust to implement change.
