Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

Our CCO won’t even reply to me, and has walked away when I was in mid sentence before. Some people are just naturally assholes.
Earn his/her respect by earning the respect of everyone in-between. Offer to help the mid & sr. ADs. Do good work and you’ll be more visible/respected.
Never expected to be “owed” anything. Asking for advice because I am a junior and I’m learning Hence, how do I not be “THAT junior.” Thanks, though!
Exactly ☝️ focus your efforts on the more attainable members of your team and build your reputation up.
Advertising used to be a highly competitive world where everyone was consumed with creating the best ideas and winning. It pains me to see it drifting to a giant kindergarten where the need for validation outweighs the need to be the best at what you do.
You're an associate art director. What do you want? If you want to have a seat at the grown up table work your ass off, pay your dues and level up. There are no shortcuts. Your CD doesn't have to go out of their way to assuage your insecurities and entreat your inexperience. Honestly. You have to work your way in. You're not owed anything. Grow up.
'...doesn't listen to me in meetings' is very telling. Did you ever stop to wonder if you had earned the right to be listened to in meetings? As an associate art director, your role is to listen and learn. There's also a chain of command in agencies that's there for a reason. Can you talk to your ACDs and CD(s)? Why don't you start there. Otherwise you are totally THAT junior.
How long have you been there? Just do you, don’t try too hard but also make sure that you don’t become a silent ghost. When you do something good, and the GCD says, “this is nice, who did this,” and your team points to you and your GCD raises an eyebrow...then you’re good.
All the members below him on my team respect me and acknowledge my work. Just him who doesn’t
Just looking for a gold star and a kiss on my forehead, am I right
Do great work. That’s all you should be focused on.
“Tease” 😂🤢
Put a meeting on his calendar. Nobody deserves that, no matter what the title
Here ya go. 🌟😘
Or do I just accept the fact that he has no soul?
My CCO and ECD always comes by and tease me. Am I in good situation?
Group Creative Director 1- They're clearly exaggerating the situation for sympathy. They're not looking for 'advice,' they're looking to have their feelings validated.
@CW 1: 🙌 we seem to reward fake fealty rather than talent or even hard work.
