I retired from Progressive Insurance and was advised that I would be awarded a retirement gift of $25 per year of service. I was given and exit package that confirmed that. On my last day of work, I was informed that I would not get said gift. The reason provided was that I resigned, not retired. I worked for Progressive for almost 30 years. I just wanted to share my experience and make you all aware that Progressive Insurance talks about integrity, but their actions show different.

I worked for them too - lousy management. Congrats on your retirement.

If you resigned, it's not the same thing as retiring from a company. Resigning is quitting. There is massive paperwork I was give for retiring regarding my pension and 401k

That’s why I left after 15 years. Things really changed sadly in the last decade.

If there is a case that we have to quarantine again. Do you all think it is possible for store associates to work remotely? If so, what are some ways this could work? I fear another pandemic or outbreak and so many people being out of work again. I can't even fathom those that had jobs in retail that had little to no choice to not be remote.
