I’d assume similar wlb and comp as TAG. Seems like they’re pulling from diverse background, people with maybe 2-3 years of FDD experience who then moved into corporate rolls. But (anyone in CTG correct me if I’m wrong) I think they do some ODD and stuff besides just typical FDD work so makes sense that they’re pulling people with a variety of experience rather than purely lateral FDD hires
Yes, it’s not just FDD, it’s an integrated diligence offering for corporate clients, but also post-closing integration and separation offerings. Therefore, especially the “ops” side of CTG hires diverse backgrounds. The FDD team however has the same entry requirements as TAG, so CPA and big4 is a hard entry barrier. They do look for a different profile though, even for FDD, as in need a wider than just accounting focus since you’ll have to coordinate many different diligence competencies and scope is wider than the typical TAG engagements. It’s hard to compare comp, given CTG is about to wrap up their first year as a practice, so first bonus has not been paid yet, but rates are quite a bit higher than TAG and under the familiar A&M collections formula that should equate to higher comp in CTG vs TAG (assuming equal utilization).
