I tend to feel work policies reveal leadership trust issues more than productivity issues. Agree or disagree?

Depends on the policies. Some leaders create policies based on the foundational principle that employees can't be trusted. I don't want to work for those leaders, and I've been able to avoid them for most of my career.

Maybe.

I agree more than I disagree. I have seen rigid policies come from a lack of trust rather than actual performance issues. Good people often end up feeling punished for problems caused by a few.

Totally!

Am I being paid competitively? I have been the Onboarding Sup for my HR dept for over a year now and I’m being paid the state min for salary, which for CA is 62,400. I have not gotten a merit raise since the last 2 January’s, the state raises the threshold for salary folks. My company says that was my raise. Is this right? I bring a background from the clinical operations of my company, scheduling, field work, and what the average employee faces. I want to look else where but I’m not sure.

Remote jobs are extremely competitive and when I find job posts on LinkedIn there are already over 100 applicants.
